I’m Athena Hollow, and I’ve been in the adult biz for a little over 6 years. I started soon after my 18th birthday.

What sort of geekery are you in to?

I’m a huge gamer: D&D, Battlestations, video games, you name it.
I also am a notepad web designer, meaning I hand code nearly every website I build, or at least the template if I’m using a Content Management System.

What was your inspiration for GGO?

My fiancé was talking to a girl while playing World of Warcraft, and she mentioned something about never seeing geeky porn. And it hit us: We needed to build a geek porn site.

I think many great Internet ideas have come about in a similar fashion.  How does GGO stand apart from other geek or nerd girl sites online?

1) We are one of the oldest that are still updated.
2) We have REAL geeks, not just hot girls who put on glasses just for photos and videos.
3) We are geeks ourselves.

I have heard that geeks are, fat, ugly, and socially inept.  How is it that you have all these hot models who seem really interesting in their profiles and on the forums?  Droids?  CGI? Super advanced AI?

But seriously, it’s a bad stereotype. Not all black people are on welfare, not all goths are devil worshipers and not all geeks are repulsive :)

How do you know a model is not a droid with super advanced AI?  Do you
give them a Turing Test?

We actually don’t, and that’d be a pretty cool thing to find out. If you come across one, let me know I’ll get her naked!

How do you decide if a girl is a true geek and worthy of modeling for
you? Is there a modified Turing test to measure geekery?

We really don’t have a set list of rules as far as that goes. I mean, obviously if she asks “how do I send an email?” or something, it’s pretty obvious this girl was meant for somewhere NOT on our site haha. But we don’t have a ‘geek’ level that is necessary to hit to be a geek girl. Just show me that you are somehow geeky, and you are in! (If you have a vagina that is)

Do GGO members and models ever get together and form groups/teams/guilds/corps etc. in games online?

We actually have a few guilds that are available on a few different games. I know that I started one on City of Heroes many moons ago, and a few other members played in a Guild Wars GGO Group for a while.

Do GGO members and models ever hang out in real life?

I have personally hung out with a few of the members, but none of the models yet. We are really hoping to get the ball rolling in 2010, and set up some meet and greets, as well as booths for people to come meet some of the models, and maybe hang out and game afterwards.

What are you future plans for GGO?

Keep on keeping on. I would love for it to get some mainstream airplay on G4 or Kotaku, but of course it’s a bit of a stretch.

What other non-GGO projects are you working on?

Currently we are running Gaming Army (gamingarmy.com), which is an all ages Gaming Social Network site. It’s brand new, so we’re still working on implementing new features everyday. I’m also always busy working on my own site, MissAthenaHollow.com, and am in the process of setting up a few sites for some of the GGO models.

We recommend checking GGO out because you can really tell that it is run by a couple of cool people who work hard to keep it updated and interesting.  And, it’s only $10 a month which is totally reasonable compared all the expensive rip-offs we review here.  Plus, if you are broke (or just cheap), you don’t have to spend anything to enjoy the forums and blogs.
